Kathy played basketball and ran cross-country and track during her high school years at Mansfield High School. She graduated from Howard Payne University in 1999 and played college basketball all four years. Kathy taught PE and coached basketball, cross-country, volleyball, and track at the high school and middle school level for 14 years. She also enjoyed being a stay at home mom for two years. She is married to her husband, Pete, and they have a son, Cooper.
Kathy started working with Joey when she coached for the Texas Express club basketball program. She has helped him run and manage his summer tournaments for nearly 20 years, which led to a full-time position with Premier Basketball.
